RUSSIAN POST RELEASED LIMITED ENVELOPES AND POSTCARDS WITH 1ST WCAISG MASCOTS

Sakhalin division of the Russian Post has prepared exclusive postal products. Envelopes and postcards are already on sale in all post offices of Sakhalin Region. Envelopes have pictures of the Children of Asia Games Mascots – Nysh the Sea Lion, Lyzhulya the Polar Fox, and Yuna the Reindeer. A total of 100 thousand envelopes were issued. Some of them will be distributed for free on the Opening Day of the Games.

The Games Mascots and artwork by kids who won a drawing contest were placed on postcards. A total of 1 thousand cards was printed. You can send them free of charge during official days of the Children of Asia Games. A stand with postal products will be located in the lobby of the Krystall Ice Palace.

In addition, especially for the opening of the 1st Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games a stamp with the emblem of the Games will be introduced. On February 9, an envelope and a postcard will be sealed with this custom stamp.

Locals and guests of the island capital will be able to get their imprint of the theme stamp in the hall of the Kristall Ice Palace on February 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Stamped postal items acquire additional philatelic value and are in great demand among collectors.

Recall the 1st Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games will be held from February 8 to 17, 2019. More than 1,300 athletes, 1,000 volunteers and 600 judges will take part in them. Participants will compete for victory in eight winter sports: alpine skiing, snowboarding, biathlon, cross-country skiing, ski jumping, figure skating, short track, and ice hockey.
