PROFESSIONALS OF YAKUT GUIMBARDE PERFORMED IN YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK

The days of Yakutia in Sakhalin started in the regional center. They are held in the framework of the 1st Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games. The festival week started with a concert at the Rodina Cultural Center. The actors of the Gulun ensemble, drummers and the duet of Claudia and German Khatylaev performed on the stage.

Ethnic music, bright costumes, sounds of nature and the guimbarde are the main elements of the concert of Yakut groups. Most of the program was taken by the performances of the Gulun ensemble. Artists masterfully played ducks, deer and other animals of the Far North. And that’s not surprising. The team consists of actors of the drama theater.

— We have talented artists who speak Yukaghir, Evenki, Chukchi and other languages of the inhabitants of the Far North. Moreover, we organize performances where the actors always speak one of them, — said Ms. Lyubov NIKITINA, artistic director of the Gulun ensemble.

The artists of the creative laboratory ‘Shining of the North’, which works with the Gulun ensemble, also take part in the performance. Alizana Sleptsova is among them. The girl has danced for 10 years, she is the first schoolgirl in the team.

— I am Evenk and northern dances are very close to me, they are so energetic. Even if I’m tired, I still go to class, because I can recharge with them, — said the dancer. — I want the audience to feel our soul, understand what we live and imbued with traditions.

Bright dance numbers replaced mysterious melodies performed by the duet of Claudia and German Khatylaev. Ethnic musicians are known worldwide. They gave concerts in England, France, Switzerland, England, America and other countries. The musicians play more than 15 Yakut folk instruments.

-We came to the concert with the whole family,- says Ivan Butakov, a resident of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. — I think that the full child development is based not only on sports, but cultural events are also needed for aesthetic development. Moreover, the theme of the small peoples of the North is close to me. I was on feeding rituals and tried the national cuisine, from winter sweets made from berries and fish skin to napkin lard.

Within the framework of the days of Yakutia in Sakhalin, the collectives of the republic will perform at the sports venues of the Children of Asia Games. The Sakha play by Academic Theater named after O.P. Oiunsky takes place at Chekhov Center on February 13. Admission is free. Invitations can be obtained at the Chekhov Center’s box office.
